Barrier Grand flter

Manufacturing new water-purifying filter for a well-known brand BARRIER has been launched. This will be the biggest model with a capacity of 1,6 l called as BARRIER GRAND.

Marketing research of company Mettem Technologies showed that the main target of the filter is women after 30. Many aspects of creating a new product, which should be stylish and conservative, were specified taking into account these results.

Due to a large capacity of the filter a parallelepiped was taken as a base of the model. After many searches for a shape of it, there were made two clay prototypes and conducted mathematic modeling of the product in CAD system. Afterwards, the approved by a customer variant was passed to mechanical designers of the studio to develop and model.

Despite apparent simplicity of the filter’s shape, all couplings of main surfaces are designed in accordance with Bezier geometry and have parabolic structure which gives the product an expressive highlight.
