Phones ESPO TX-7400 and TX-7402

A dynamically developing business cooperation of the two companies - product design studio SmirnovDesign and ESPO Electronics - yields fruit: there has been elaborated design of the next telephone set TX-7400.

ESPO Electronics decided to create this model after the successful beginning of phone-handset TX-3400 production.

The task was very complicated. Model TX-3400 as itself is harmonious and complete. Besides, at first, there were no intentions to fulfill it in a desk version. Designers should have had to create a new model, highlighting basic familiar features of its predecessor.

The process of searching for a new shape was long and thorough. The model has undergone several principal alterations. Despite its apparent simplicity, the surfaces of the phone and handset have complex forming and precisely checked proportions.

The peculiarity of the phone is in its structure: the case of a model with an indicator differs from the case without an indicator by one insertion only which allows to make parts uniform and design a convenient draft of the upper keyboard and indicator.

The telephone set is quite tight (210х155х55 mm.), has a desk version, is equipped with speakerphone functions, redialing, and number memory. Model TX-7402 has a 10-symbol indicator, TX-7400 - additional buttons of number memory.

The phone should come on the market in autumn, 2003, at an approximate cost of $15-20.
