Industrial design of monocular video camera

To continue the collaboration with Videofon MV aimed at developing new video monitoring devices, specialists of SmirnovDesign were posed another task – to create industrial design and configuration of standard monocular camera. After this phase had been completed, the project was passed to SmirnovTechnology which produced molds for the new products.

One of the most important aspects of the project was to develop its engineering and design part. There should have been thoroughly elaborated all solutions related to materials choice and manufacturing methods of producing an article intended, first of all, for installing on the city streets. Therefore, the most efficient solution for inexpensive street cameras was to manufacture a case of the video camera by injection casting out of durable glass-nylon composite. Another task which was successfully completed by design engineers of SmirnovDesign related to optimizing interchangeability of details of the monocular camera, 3D-camera and models developed for Videofon MV earlier.
