The first in Russia scholarship of the British Government for a full year study in Design in Britain.

A prestigious award for a year’s study in Great Britain under a Chevening Scholarship program sponsored by the British government and fulfilled by the British Council all over the world, was won by Head of Business Development Division of SmirnovDesign Ekaterina Khramkova.

Chevening Scholarship is a grant covering all expenses on study in the United Kingdom to obtain a Master Degree in any field chosen by a scholar and in any university of the country. A competition to win this scholarship in different years varies between 30 and 50 people for a grant.

Ekaterina Khramkova has chosen Brunel University located in the West London and regarded as one of the most “engineering-and-design” universities of Great Britain. A distinctive feature of the University is a focus on applied, rather than theoretical, skills and knowledge needed to develop and promote new products and services. A unique course Design and Branding Strategy elaborated by the University is aimed at preparing specialists able in the future to define design strategies of its organizations and introduce principles of innovative development. Therefore, a focus is on a comprehensive approach in training students – the program consists of such modules as Design Management, Project Management, Branding Strategy, Design Research & Creativity, Marketing and Product Development
